Confessions of a Stay at Home Mom- How Pink Zebra Brought Me Back Out of the Trenches

I was sitting there one day in my Mom uniform (pajama pants, a T-shirt that my son decided was his personal napkin, and my trusty old house slippers) when I said to myself, "Seriously?  I could be contributing so much more."  But how?  The cost of child care is ridiculous, and I didn't want to give up my time with the kids.  So what's a girl to do?

It happened by accident really.  I had been selling Scentsy for awhile with absolutely no results.  It was basically a cheaper way for me to get the products for myself, and that's it.  I signed up to sell Pink Zebra on a whim, thinking that it was going to be exactly the same as Scentsy.  Boy was I wrong!

As it turned out, people were HUNGRY for an alternative to Scentsy.  All I had to do was present Pink Zebra to people and they were gobbling it up.  On top of that, there are about a million disgruntled Scentsy consultants out there who love what they do but can't sell a thing.  They hear about Pink Zebra and BAM!  You have yourself an experienced new consultant with a customer base already in place!  Within just a few short months I had already built an amazing team, and was selling out at events!  I never saw it coming.


I actually never even planned on building a team- but people were coming to me asking to join!  I was getting new recruits without even recruiting!  In all the time I sold Scentsy I never even got one single consultant to sign up under me.  Not one.

So here is where it gets good:  The money I make from Pink Zebra is NOT why I love it so much.  While the extra income is definitely a bonus, it is not nearly as valuable to me as the personal growth I have experienced since I became a consultant.  I  now know what it feels like to get a promotion, lead a team, meet my goals and get recognized for my accomplishments.  In my every day life as a stay at home Mom I barely EVER got recognized for anything I did in a day.  Talk about a thankless job!

What is even better is that I get to bring this opportunity to other people.  I get to help them start a business that will not only bring them additional income, but literally CHANGE THEIR LIVES by allowing them to experience the same sense of accomplishment that I have.  How cool is that?

So really- if you are sitting on the fence about this, get your butt off that fence right now and start heading down a path that will lead you somewhere!  If I can do it, anyone can!  I am just a regular chick with no previous sales or leadership experience.  All I am is a mother who loves her babies and wants to set an awesome example for her daughters.  This is not a get rich quick scheme, you will not have overnight success.  But what you will have is the satisfaction of actually reaching goals, making life happen and having fun in the process!
